A Valley cybersecurity firm thinks its new office will lead to more collaboration between its team and its clients.

MegaplanIT took that step by expanding into Cavasson East, taking a bigger office for its team of roughly 75 employees. Jerry Abowd, MegaplanIT’s vice president of sales and marketing, said the new office checked all the boxes for the team in building security — both in physical security and in cyberspace. The space in Suite 340 allows for a real time, 24/7 security operations center that will be monitored by MegaplanIT staff.

“One of the reasons why we chose this space is its ability to accommodate large groups so we can keep more of the local community appraised of the current state of the cyber landscape, the threats that exist, etc.,” Abowd said. “Going forward, we do anticipate leveraging this space to host monthly tech talks and different types of events to educate the local business community on how to protect themselves, to keep their data secure and keep their brands from becoming a negative headline.”

The $1 billion development is located at the northwest corner of Loop 101 and Hayden Road in Scottsdale.

Nationwide Realty said other tenants at Cavasson East include Stealth Partner Group, Wells Fargo, Bar-S Foods, Quantum, U.S. Money Reserve, Transact Campus Inc. and the Major League Baseball Players Association.
